One of the oldest exercises that is known to mankind is the push-up, and to many this exercise may seem out of date but its very easy to do and very effective. If you want some great abs, and great pectoral muscles, then there is no better exercise than the push up.
One of the best things about the push up is that it can be done from just about anywhere. You can do them at a hotel, in your home, at the office, anywhere.

To do the correct push up lie down on the floor face down and then use your arms to raise your body and then lower it to the floor again without bending any other part of your body. This type of exercise will strengthen your triceps, pectorals and the deltoid muscles. In reality, push ups are great for strengthening the whole body.

These are a variation to the push up and are used both in the military and by professional athletes. A press up is like a push up but the legs and the back are held straight and off the floor. You can put your feet on a chair or a stool and if you are in a public area you might use a park bench. You shouldn’t raise your legs higher than your shoulder line.
Other variations of the push-up include using four fingers of each hand, or using just one hand, clapping as you come up. Whatever you do make sure that you are ready for variations to the push up and that you don’t injure yourself.
